Yumptious

Something that is so tasty it is both Yummy and Scrumptious.

That was yumptious

Rose

Roses by George Eliot
You love the roses - so do I. I wish
The sky would rain down roses, as they rain
From off the shaken bush. Why will it not?
Then all the valley would be pink and white
And soft to tread on. They would fall as light
As feathers, smelling sweet; and it would be
Like sleeping and like waking, all at once!

New Year, New You?

All the adverts on TV suggest that the New Year is a time to create a New You.
It's as though, now 2010 has arrived, we are all suddenly wise to the fact that 2009 was a wasted year: We Must Loose Weight, we Must be productive, we Must make resolutions (which we probably won't keep) that will enable us to become this Better Person.

I disagree, I am still Me, I am the Me from yesterday, I am the Me from last year and I will be Me for a long time yet - I don't want to change (although I think I could perhaps benefit from being a bit more proactive!).
As for last year, it was great and I managed to keep my resolutions:
  • try and make this work out - Check!
  • read, read, READ - Check!
  • visit Alb in Newcastle - Check!
  • go back to America - Check!
  • be positive and less of a bitch - Check! - I think!
  • tell family and tim how much i love them - Check! - again, I think!
So, thanks, but No Thanks to changing myself, I'm happy!
And I think I might keep these resolutions for this year too :-)
